Hackathon and integrations

Welcome to the Chainlink Weekly Round-Up! Each week, Chainlink unveils new updates, integrations, and highlights that showcase its relentless pursuit of innovation. Let’s take a look at the latest developments and find out how Chainlink continues to revolutionize Web3 applications:

Spring 2023 Chainlink Hackathon Winners Announced

The Chainlink Hackathon 2023 has ended, showcasing the immense talent and innovation within the blockchain community. There were over 14,000 registrants and over 498 project submissions from over 100 countries.

A notable highlight of this year’s hackathon was the diversity of participants, with nearly 40% of registrants being individuals who had little to no previous experience building with blockchain technology.

The spring edition of the Chainlink Hackathon awarded more than $400,000 in prizes, recognizing outstanding contributions across a wide range of categories. The prizes were distributed as follows:

  • Grand prize
  • Tech for good prices (x2)
  • NFTs and game prize
  • DeFi price
  • AI Prize
  • Chainlink Services Prices (x3)
  • DAO award
  • Women in Tech Award
  • Top quality prizes (x40)

The grand prize, worth $25,000, was awarded to “Securechain.” The project presented a hybrid transfer validation system to secure NFTs and tokens stored in hot wallets against wallet-draining attacks.

Offramp joins Chainlink BUILD

OfframpXYZ has joined Chainlink BUILD for enhanced access to Chainlink’s leading Oracle services and technical support, which will help support the security and use of Web3’s decentralized entry/exit.

“Participating in BUILD furthers our integration with Chainlink, with additional benefits of priority support of the Chainlink ecosystem, improved access to dApps that require decentralized on/off ramp, and stronger alignment of incentives between the Chainlink and Offramp communities the Offramp Protocol said in a statement.

Chainlink Data Feeds allows Offramp to provide highly secure, reliable and decentralized off-chain data needed to power their protocol. In return, Offramp will provide 4% of its total token supply to Chainlink service providers, including strikers. Download the full list of winners here.

Celo Mainnet now supports Chainlink data feeds

Celo developers can now create secure, mobile-first DeFi apps using Chainlink’s secure, reliable, and cost-effective data feeds.

Thanks to Chainlink Data Feeds, the developers can build advanced DeFi applications that can be accessed anywhere with a mobile phone. Further, with a large number of Chainlink Data Feeds constantly being rolled out to meet the demands of the ecosystem, Celo users will be able to take advantage of a new wave of innovative DeFi dApps.

“Chainlink Data Feeds will empower Celo developers by providing critical access to Oracle data and services and strengthen Celo’s dApps to drive real-world impact and solutions,” said Xochitl Cazador, head of Ecosystem Growth at Celo. Foundation.
